About

Hi, I’m Malorie—movement teacher, yoga instructor, and founder of Wellness Weirdos.

My path into this work started with a big setback: a low back injury in 2018 that turned my life upside down. What began as a fitness-fueled lifestyle came to a screeching halt when pain made even basic tasks—like walking or doing the dishes—feel impossible. I tried everything: physical therapy, surgery, and going back to the same yoga classes I used to love. But nothing really helped me feel better.

That changed in 2020, when I discovered the LYT® Method. This approach helped me understand how I moved—and more importantly, how to move better. Through intentional practice, I re-trained my brain and body to move with more strength, awareness, and ease. It was the first time I felt truly empowered in my recovery.

In 2021, I became a certified LYT® yoga teacher, and I’ve been sharing this method ever since. I started by bringing it into my work with adults with traumatic brain injuries, and I saw how even small shifts in movement could lead to massive changes in confidence and quality of life.

Now, I teach group yoga classes in person, offer private sessions for personalized support, and run Wellness Weirdos—a virtual coaching collective that helps people move better, feel stronger, and recover with care. Whether you’re dealing with injury, chronic pain, or just want to feel more connected to your body, I’m here to help you find freedom in movement.

My teaching is anatomy-driven, strength-building, and confidence-boosting. I’m known for making yoga accessible (hello, creative use of blocks!) and for designing classes that challenge and support you—so you can age with grace, power, and purpose.

Wherever you’re starting from, there’s space for you here. Let’s move with intention—and maybe even have a little fun while we’re at it.
